This month, residents near Friendswood are preparing for the coming season with art, poetry, food, and a party.
The Spring Magic Art Market mixes promotional products, local artists and writers, and crafts to celebrate the wonder of the equinox.
The event features a lot of local talent offering an array of creative works. Traci Lavois is offering poetry for barter, sale, or trade. The East End Studio Gallery will offer works for sale by local painters, while the Kismet Boutique will have locally tailored clothing. Bohemeo’s will offer an array of locally made goods, while also presenting its trademark selection craft beers and wine. On top of that, attendees will have the ability to make their own DIY seed bombs.
After the market is over, an after party will get started. Local bands will be playing live music for the whole night, and special brews will be offered by Kickin’ Kombucha. Chocolate Wasted will also offer special ice cream flavors for visitors.
The Spring Magic Art Market will take place on March 18 at 708 Telephone Rd. in Houston. The market will go from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and the party will last until midnight. Attendance is free, though visitors will be charged for food drinks, and any items they wish to purchase. Anyone interested should visit the website for more info.
