A special event is planned for pet parents and their fur babies.

Starlight Outreach and Rescue is hosting the Harvest Pawfest, an event that is suitable for people (and pets) of all ages, and is filled with fun for pets and the people who love them.

The event is about enjoying the season of autumn in the company of furry friends. Planned activities include pumpkin decorating, pet costume contests, and a photo booth that is especially pet friendly. Delicious treats suitable for both people and pets will be available as well.

Most of the parking for the event is offsite, but nearby. Shuttle buses will be available during the entire event. Socialized, well-behaved, leashed pets are invited to attend. A blessing of the pets will be part of the day.

Starlight Outreach and Rescue was established in 2017 to help support shelters in the local area by providing medical attention the shelters cannot offer, and providing special needs animals for rescue services and foster care. Starlight has expanded its mission to include trap/neuter/return services for cat colonies, and rescuing animals directly from the streets and providing housing and medical care while they wait for their forever homes.

Harvest Pawfest is set for October 5, from 1.00 pm until 6.00 pm, at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church located at 1207 Winding Way Drive in Friendswood. Fun days like this are often advertised when organizers contact local printers, and ask them to use poster printing to carry the message.
