Dickeys Barbeque Pit opens new Friendswood location

Residents in and around Friendswood will have a new restaurant to enjoy in August, as Dickey’s Barbeque Pit opened a new location at the end of July.

For four weeks after the grand opening, the restaurant will be hosting events and discounts for customers to welcome them to their new location and tempt them to taste the wares.

Friendswood marks the fourth Dickey’s Barbeque Pit location in the Houston area. According to CEO Laura Rea Dickey, the company has been serving authentic barbeque to Texans since 1941, and expanding its footprint within Texas is always a cause for celebration. The restaurant will be run by John McClure, and this is his first Dickey’s location.

Originally founded by Travis Dickey, the newest barbeque restaurant is located on 210 East Parkwood Ave. All meats offered by the restaurant are slow smoked at the site. Neither the barbeque meals nor the sides have any ‘B.S.’ (or ‘Bad Stuff’) in them. Overall, the company has restaurants in 44 states, and more than 600 locations. When opening new locations, many companies use banner printing to advertise their grand opening, as well as any sponsors that might be participating in the event.

Dickey’s Barbeque Pit has been featured on the Top 100 Movers and Shakers list from Fast Casual in both 2016 and 2017.
