A studio in Friendswood is offering a course that will result in certifying participants as yoga teachers.
Sundance Yoga Studio is offering the class to people who would like to be certified to teach yoga. Candidates include those who have a passion for learning and teaching, and who are curious about holistic healing and yoga in particular.
There are many advantages for people who want to work as yoga teachers, such as the ability to work anywhere, create an individual schedule, improve their self-awareness and intuition, earn supplemental income, and improve their overall health, and that of others.
At the course, participants will learn yoga therapy, energy work, class sequencing, teaching methods, relaxation and meditation techniques, breathing, the anatomy of movement, alignment theory, and the philosophy and history of yoga. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create course materials.
The studio has more than 40 years’ experience in the field, and provides instruction from experts in such fields as the chakra system, ayurvedic medicine, and anatomy. Students may focus on yoga teacher training only, or can include electives such as yoga for trauma, chair-based yoga, fall prevention, and restorative yoga. The class is suitable for students of all abilities, and blends modern, ancient, Western, and Eastern philosophies into a coherent whole.
The class is March 3, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Sundance Yoga Studio, which is located at 128 South Friendswood Drive.
