Automated pizzeria comes to Friendswood

PizzaForno, which bakes pizzas automatically, is kicking off its “Pizza with a Purpose” program with locations in Houston and Friendswood.

“Pizza with a Purpose” allows PizzaForno to select licensees who will help develop their program of giving back to the community. In addition to supporting their licensees, PizzaForno helps individual owners identify nonprofit organizations in their local community that they can help support.

The new operators in the Houston area will be supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston (RMHCCHG). Each Tuesday, area licensees will donate $1 for each pizza they sell in Houston and Friendswood to help fund medical treatments, exams, and vaccines for children. The issue is particularly dear to Daniel Albelice, a licensee, whose son was treated for three years. During this period, the Ronald McDonald House helped support Albelice and his family, and he is now returning the favor.

The first two automated pizzerias in the state are at the Social Beer Garden HTX in Houston, and 3312 FM-528 Road in Friendswood. When new devices like this are installed, licensees can use banner printing to create signage marking their location.

The units hold as many as 70 freshly made, completely prepared boxed pizzas, which are restocked frequently. When the customer places an order, they can either take the pizza and bake it at home, or the oven can bake the pizza on the spot in less than three minutes.
