All set for special womens event near Friendswood

An important event for women is scheduled for League City, a short trip from Friendswood.

The Unveiled Aspirations 8th Annual Women's Empowerment Conference will bring together inspirational speakers and leaders to expound on the theme “From Heels to Heals: My Past Doesn’t Define My Future.” Unveiled Aspirations, which was founded by Chenica Grant, is hosting the event.

Unveiled Aspirations seeks to inspire women to pursue their dreams and realize they can reach their goals once they free themselves from fear, confusion, and doubt. Grant uses her own life experiences to inspire others, delivering messages that are motivational and high-energy.

Grant does not rely on her speaking abilities alone; she also uses dance. She founded the dance troupe the “Specialites,” encouraging women to love themselves and become comfortable in their own bodies. The group has appeared in such venues as the Love Zone II and the Red Cat Jazz Café.

Grant will provide an “Inspirational Moment,” followed by Pastor Jackiee Johnson as the keynote speaker. LaKia Mitchell (Kanei, the Poet) will host the event, and the motivational speaker is Yolanda Kay Davis. Singer Nick Carr will provide entertainment, and vendors will be present so attendees can enjoy shopping. Everyone will receive breakfast and lunch and a swag bag. Events like this can be enhanced if organizers work with flyer printing to create schedules for attendees.

The event is set for June 11, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, at the South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center in League City.
