Popular restaurant to open second Dallas location
North Dallas will soon have a new modern casual restaurant, The Sicilian Butcher, offering house-made pasta, five-foot charcuterie platters, and craft meatballs near Addison in a spot formerly occupied by Sushi Axiom.
The husband-and-wife team of Joey and Cristina Maggiore came up with the concept - and with Flora Tersigni, a business partner, they brought it to fruition.
The Maggiore’s home state of Arizona is home to three locations, while the first in the Lone Star State opened in July 2024 in Fort Worth. The new and fifth location will be located at 5225 Belt Line Road #240 and will open in the summer of 2025.
The Sicilian Butcher concept was acquired in 2022 by the private equity firm, Savory Fund, which invests in emerging restaurant concepts. Savory Fund also owns Hash Kitchen, a brunch concept that opened next door to The Sicilian Butcher in Fort Worth. The company has plans to take both concepts nationwide.
The use of banner printing services is instrumental in the success of new eateries.
Every The Sicilian Butcher has a sister concept that accompanies it called The Sicilian Baker, which offers a variety of Sicilian sweets including pastries, a build-your-own cannoli bar, gelato, and espressos.
The restaurant offers a variety of pastas and salads, as well as meatballs including Sausage, Sicilian and Eggplant, which can be purchased either solo or on a meatball “wheel.”
The Dallas location, which will feature a patio, is presently under construction.
