Bagel joint to open second Dallas location

K&L Bagels, which already launched a shop at Preston Forest shopping center in February, has plans to open a second shop at 4333 Lovers Lane in Dallas.

K&L is owned by the husband-and-wife team of Kyriakos and Lisa Kouzoukas and is more than simply a bagel shop. The business is also a casual breakfast-and-lunch cafe although bagels are nevertheless the main attraction. The shop carries 19 types of bagels, as well as a selection of 10 cream cheese spreads. Also on the menu are eggs, muffins, and sandwiches.

New businesses commonly employ banner printing and flyer printing services for their opening,

The new shop will be occupying a space that was formerly a butcher shop near the Dallas North Tollway and is equipped with a kitchen but no dining room. Despite having its own kitchen, the Lovers Lane location will be supplied daily with bagels by K&L’s Preston Forest store. The Kouzoukases expect the new store to mostly do a takeaway business, although a few seats are in front of the establishment to help make up for its lack of dining room.

In addition to traditional bagels, K&L has introduced the Jerusalem bagel to Dallas. This popular Middle Eastern street food is quite different to a New York-style bagel with its crisp crust, loose oval appearance, and fluffy interior.

The shop is expected to open in a few weeks, so it will most likely be operational sometime in October.
