Spring opening planned for Oak Lawn Champagne bar
The Shops of Highland Park will soon be home to a new establishment, Coupes Dallas – a champagne bar in the former Jos. A. Bank’s location.
The 4,000-square-foot former men’s clothing store at 4234 Oak Lawn Avenue closed as a result of the COVID pandemic in 2020. According to a Coupes spokesperson, the location will brought back to life, with bubbles no less, sometime in the spring.
Some details are hard to come by, however, Coupes will offer a full bar with cocktails and wine in addition to Champagne. There will also be a kitchen for the creation of snacks, such as salads, small plates, cheese puffs and desserts all designed to enhance the enjoyment of the champagne.
The Coupes will be well stocked with a minimum of 100 labels of champagne as well as sparkling wine. Moreover, the bar will keep on hand about 20 by-the-glass champagne options in a range of price points to enable patrons’ greater opportunity to quench their champagne curiosity.
Banner printing services help launch new establishments by grabbing the attention of passersby.
The new establishment’s name is taken from the shallow, almost bowl like glasses that were commonly used for champagne before being displaced by fluted and tulip-shaped glasses.
Coupes will offer both well-known as well as the less commonly available champagnes such as “grower Champagnes” like Egly Ouriet. Grower champagnes are those that are made and bottled by the vineyard where the grapes where grown.
