Dallas gold buildings shined up with $50M renovation
The buildings off US-75 that were formerly known as the Campbell Center have been renamed The Gild following a $50 million renovation that has them looking brand new.
The two 20-story towers, located at 8150-8350 N. Central Expressway, were built in 1978 and designed by Neuhaus & Taylor. Prior to the most recent renovations the buildings were updated in 1999 and 2009. The California-based Fenway Capital Advisors acquired the property in 2021 and began the towers’ transformation into The Guild.
A premier Class A property, The Gild includes not only the two 20-story towers but also two two-story concourse buildings dubbed The Lofts at the Gild. The gold exterior’s appearance is the result of a microscopic coating of genuine gold applied within the glass. panels. Mirrored glass buildings were less common when the buildings were constructed in 1978 and although not as unique today, the appearance of two gold-clad buildings is still impressive.
Signage is important in a building and can heavily influence how it is perceived both inside and out, which makes using quality printing services a must.
Improvements made to the building include enhanced entrances to both towers and upgraded lobbies complete with coffee bars, and comfortable lounging areas along with newly opened Hightower Café and White Rhino coffee shop. Upgraded amenities consist of a fitness center, state-of-the-art conference center and on-demand car transportation service. Plus, each tower has its own in-house concierge service for tenants and their employees use.
