Donations sought for Cedar Park food and toy drive

Cedar Park wants to make sure everyone has a wonderful holiday season, which is why it is bringing back the Blue Santa program this month.

The city’s law enforcement team has put out a call to local households that would like to share their good fortune. There are several ways for them to do so, and they will directly help those in need.

The department has organized a toy drop off. New unwrapped toys may be donated at various locations in the city, and these will then be distributed to registered families. Cash donations will also be welcome. These can be made at any one of the collection stations or delivered by mail. Details about the various contribution drop-off locations, as well as contact details for the organizers, can be found on the function’s website.

Along with money and toys, contributions of non-perishable food are also important. These will be on offer at the city’s library and recreation center, and they will be passed along to Gracies Canned Goods Food Pantry.

Many people want to do a good turn for their neighbors in need at this time of year, and communities often host drives and other activities to raise funds and food donations. A poster printing company will have ways of helping to get the word about them out.

All toys donated to the drive will be distributed on December 18.
