Blues tour headed to Cedar Park

The Blues is Alright touring show will be visiting Cedar Park this September, highlighting a uniquely American genre.

The show will feature a sextet of performers presenting different styles of the blues, with an emphasis on guitar music and Southern rhythm. The show will be headlined by King George, known for his party-centric sound influenced by R&B and funk. The R&B influence is also echoed by Louisiana-based Tucka James, while Pokey Bear represents the “Southern Soul” subgenre. Supporting acts include guitarist West Love, soul singer J-Wonn, and Ronnie Bell.

The concert will offer a premium package with food and beverages included. The tour is produced by North America Entertainment group, which has brought this and similar tours to markets across the continent. The Cedar Park is one of just two Texas stops for the Blues is Alright’s fall tour, in addition to Lubbock.

Concert tours like this often use flyer printing and radio advertisement to attract local music fans. Promotional material for The Blue Is Alright’s promotional material emphasizes the emotional component of the genre:

“The Blues is musical storytelling filled with stark emotion and a revolving reality check. It’s authentically raw; transforming tragedy, adversity and heartache into a visceral and cathartic experience.”

The Blues is Alright Tour will perform in the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park on the evening of Friday, September 26.
