The Austin Indoor Pickle Festival will be staged in Cedar Park this November, looking to celebrate all aspects of the briny treats.
The event is designed to coincide with National Pickle Weekend and will feature a bevy of pickle-flavoured food and drinks, including items like unlikely pizza, lemonade, popcorn, and sno-cones. There will also be vendors offering gourmet and spicy pickles, as well as artisan booths with gift items, arts, and crafts inspired by the vegetable.
Attendees can also take part in pickle-based challenges such as the pickle toss, classic eating contests every hour, or a pickle juice drinking competition. For younger visitors, there will be a kids’ zone including a do-it-yourself Pickle Slime Station, bounce house, and scavenger games. Visitors can also learn how to make their own pickles with canning demonstrations.
The festival will also feature live DJs providing music, dance contests, and games such as axe throwing, with prize giveaways for unique shirts and merchandise throughout the event.
