Cedar Park to host holiday run

The Austin Jingle Bell Run will be returning to Cedar Park this December, looking to raise money for charity while spreading holiday cheer.

The run is across a five-kilometer distance, with runners invited to dress in Santa hats, wearing bells or other holiday-themed outfits. There will be a timed run with official results, a more casual untimed run, a shorter Kids run for children 12 and under, and the Virtual Jingler option for those who cannot make race day.

Participants can register individually or as a team, with fundraising contributions pooled. Money raised will go towards the Arthritis Foundation, which provides funding for arthritis research, treatment, and support. Jingle Bell Runs are held across the country annually to support the charity.

The 5K distance can be tackled by running, jogging, walking, or otherwise traveling at the participant’s own pace. Fundraising events like this often use speeches and brochure printing to help encourage donation. The organization’s website explains the community importance of fundraising:

“Jingle Bell Run captures the spirit of the season and turns participation and fundraising into momentum — creating real solutions for people living with arthritis. This is how progress happens: Not quietly. Not alone. But together — through movement, purpose and celebration.”

The 2026 Austin Jingle Bell Run will take place at Lakeline Park in Cedar Park on the morning of Saturday, December 5.
