Cedar Park run to benefit charity

The Jingle Bell 5K run will take place in Cedar Park this December, with runners raising money to benefit the Arthritis Foundation.

The run will go across a 5K route throughout the Lakeland Park Area. Participants can sign up for a competitive timed run, a friendly untimed one, or a shorter Kids Run. Dogs and strollers are also welcome. Runners will receive jingle bells, which they are encouraged to wear for a festive feel, and a commemorative shirt.

Money raised through registration fees will go towards the Arthritis Foundation, which provides treatment and supports research into arthritis medicine. The finish line area will include a meet-and-greet with pro football legends, holiday games, and a Kids Zone for participating families. Those who can’t make it to the in-person event can donate to receive a shirt and become “Virtual Jinglers.”

The top-timed finishers will receive recognitions at an awards ceremony following the race. The event will also honor contributors Johnny “Sky” Walker, president of the NFL Alumni Austin Chapter, child neurologist Sharanya Joginpalli, and adult rheumatoid arthritis patient Jeanne Johnson. Charity runs like this often use banner printing and speeches to recognize contributors and sponsors.

The 2025 Jingle Bell 5K Run will take place on the morning of Saturday, December 6 at Lakeline Park in Cedar Park. The run begins at 8:00 am.
