A Cedar Park class will give new and expecting parents some hands-on experience that may just save their child’s life.
Parents who have registered already to have their baby at the Cedar Park Regional Medical Center have been offered a chance to take a basic CPR class. Those who do will learn how to perform infant CPR, and there will be a variety of other topics on the agenda as well.
The class, which will be facilitated by a registered nurse, will give parents to be an introduction to topics such as child proofing a home, what to do if their baby is choking, and also how to choose and install a car seat for their new son or daughter. The group will practice CPR using mannequins, and the session will run for about two hours.
Attending this sort of workshop can be an important part of helping to build a safe home for an infant. A poster printing company can help to make new and future parents aware of when it will be held by preparing an assortment of promotional materials that can be posted throughout the community.
This free baby safety class has been scheduled to run on September 15. It will begin at 6:00 pm, and there are spaces for up to 15 couples to attend.
