Cedar Park area festival moves to new location

The Pecan Street Festival, one of the longest-running festivals in the Cedar Park area, will open a new chapter this spring with a move to a new location.

Traditionally hosted semi-annually on Austin’s historic Sixth Street, the festival will be moving to Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave due to restructuring and public safety concerns. The festival will feature the same combination of music, food, and artisan vendors from across Texas and beyond. The music lineup is to be announced but typically features world music and a number of different international sounds, with 2024’s headliners including The Tiarras, The Fresh Kils Trio, and a tribute to Manuel “Cowboy” Donley.

This will also be the 50th anniversary of the festival, which draws its name from Sixth Street’s historic moniker and has welcomed millions of people from nearby cities like Austin and Cedar Park. The marketplace will include over 300 vendors with an aim of representing artisans and styles from around the world, selected through an online application process. Vendors at events like this often offer special sales and eye-catching banner printing to help attract the attention of festival goers. Past Pecan Street Festivals have also included a midway with rides for children and a petting zoo.

The Spring 2025 Pecan Street Festival will take place on May 3 and 4 at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave.
