The Austin Blues Festival will be taking place this April.
The festival started in 1999, when it was created by Clifford Antone, who is also the founder of Antone's Nightclub. It has emerged as a platform for showcasing blues musicians, with names like Buddy Guy, Ray Charles, and John Lee Hooker having graced the stage of the festival during its inaugural three years.
This year’s lineup includes artists such as Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, Big Freedia, Dumpstaphunk, Pinettes Brass Band, Nathan and The Zydeco Cha-Chas, The James Hunter Six, and Sue Foley.
Attendees are welcome to bring along specific items, including point-and-shoot cameras, one closed water bottle, a small Ziplock pouch of snacks or food, sunscreen, bug spray, beach towels, and blankets no bigger than 30”x 60”. Attendees can visit the official event website to check whether the items they wish to take are permissible.
Guests have the opportunity to purchase general admission or VIP tickets for one day or two, and these are available via Ticketmaster. Parking will be available around the event location, although the location is accessible via public transport.
Poster printing can be a great way for organizers to provide details about festivals such as this to the public.
The event dates will be Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 at 1401 Trinity Street, Austin.
