Next month’s annual Austin Sketch Fest will feature some of the best comedians from across the country in scripted comedy performances. Among the recently announced headline acts will be Assssketch from New York City.
The sketch comedy troupe will present their popular, lively show to the Austin audience on the first of two weekends of Sketch Fest. The group performs weekly for sold-out audiences at the well-known Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York.
Aly Dixon will headline the second weekend with her solo show Funeral Pro, a deep but comedic look at death and loss from a first-hand perspective.
Saturday Night Live cast member Andrew Dismukes will also entertain at the festival. Dismukes, a graduate of the University of Texas, is a writer, actor and comedian who has performed at festivals around the world.
Austin Sketch Fest is presented and produced by Cold Towne Theater, which features improv, sketch and stand-up comedy each night of the week and also offers classes for aspiring actors.
Theatrical organizations such as this often use poster printing to advertise their upcoming shows and classes.
Sketch Fest will be held on back-to-back weekends, August 14 to 23, 2026, at Cold Towne Theater in Austin. Tickets and further information are available on the theater website. Comedy fans can choose from individual tickets or all access weekend passes.
