The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar in Austin will mark its 50th year of music, art, and gifts at the upcoming 2025 event.
The popular festival started small in 1976 but quickly grew to become a much-anticipated tradition that this year will showcase as many as 200 artists over nine days.
The bazaar began at Armadillo World Headquarters, which was battling severe financial difficulties when the idea of a Christmas market was raised. What was scheduled as a two-day event was so popular that it continued for several extra days with 50 vendor spaces included. Organizers immediately recognized it would become an annual event.
As one of Austin’s longest running music and art festivals, the bazaar now has its home at the 44,000 square foot Palmer Events Center. A diverse collection of galleries and shops, bars, and food vendors will be featured this year, along with a huge array of live music on the event stage.
Vendors who participate in large events such as this often promote their products and services through flyer printing.
The Palmer Events Center will host the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar from December 13 to 21 from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm each day. One-day tickets are $12, while season passes cost $50. Children aged under 12 can attend for free. Tickets and further information can be found on the event website.
