Tickets on sale for Austin Food & Wine Festival

Local foodies have a weekend to look forward to in the spring, as the eighth annual Austin Food & Wine Festival takes place. Tickets for the festival went on sale at the end of January.

Those attend the four-day event can expect a series of tastings and demonstrations on the Saturday and Sunday. Numerous local restaurants – including Foreign & Domestic, East Side King, Apis, Guild, and Yuyo – will be offering samples during the event. Lakana Sopajan-Trubiana operates Dee Dee, a food truck serving Northern Thai food, and will make her first appearance at the festival.

Thursday and Friday before the official festival will feature a couple of special events. On Thursday, April 25, Feast Under the Stars will involve a five-course meal prepared by James Beard-award winning chefs. Wine pairings and dessert are included in the $250 ticket price.

On Friday, April 26, a Grillin' and Chillin' VIP demo will offer attendees the chance to work at a personal grilling station while receiving one-on-one instruction from Chef Tim Love.

Festivals can use poster printing to spread the word and get people excited about attending their events.

The Austin Food and Wine Festival will also include several daytime programs, including interactive fire pits overseen by Andrew Wiseheart, a chef-partner at Contigo. Cooking stations will be located throughout the firepit area, with food available from chefs such as Evan LeRoy, Lance Kirkpatrick and Sonya Cote.

Tickets to the festival start at $250. The All-In pass, which provides access to both weekend days and Friday and Saturday night events, is $625.
