Shop til you drop in Austin

Austin residents will soon have five days of shopping just in time for the holidays. A Christmas Affair is a tradition in the area and will not disappoint this year.

Now in its 44th year, over 200 merchants will come from across the country to display unique and unusual gifts, crafts and products. Vendors and merchants often call upon local printing services for needed provisions such as Banners for their booths. Banner printing creates large signage to attract visitors. Merchant application deadline has passed, however, there is a waitlist.

The theme for this year is “I’ll be Home for Christmas” with decorations depicting it. There will be parties and children’s events that include a visit from Santa Claus. A food court with good old-fashioned hometown delights along with local food trucks will not let anyone go hungry while at the event.

The Junior League of Austin, now in its new location at The Community Impact Center, presents the annual event. Proceeds benefit local charities such as Coats for Kids, and FIT-Foods in Tummies along with dozens of other non-profits.

Being held at the Palmer Events Center located at 900 Barton Springs Road, A Christmas Affair takes place November 20-24 opening at 10:00 a.m. each morning. Tickets may be purchased online. More information is also available via the event website.
