The Austin Marathon and Half Marathon is back, offering participants an opportunity to see Austin’s finest landmarks while they meander through the downtown streets.
This annual event draws almost 20,000 runners who participate in the marathon, half marathon, and 5K runs. Race weekend kicks off with an expo, which will feature over 100 vendors who will provide attendees with Brochures, Flyers, and Promotional Products as they make their way through the Austin Convention Center. The vendors will offer a large variety of products and services and participants can obtain healthy tips from speakers at the expo as well.
While the participants of the race have the opportunity to see many of the sites that Austin has to offer, they will also be treated to a variety of other benefits, including mile markers at every 5K mark, which will enable them to stay on track to reach their goals. The race will offer pace groups as well to help those trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Music will be heard through the course, provided by over a dozen local bands to keep runners entertained.
The 2017 Austin Marathon and Half Marathon will take place on February 19 in downtown Austin, with the races beginning and ending at Congress Avenue. Race packets will be available for pickup at the expo on February 17 and 18.
