Pecan Street hosts annual festival

The 39th Annual Fall Pecan Street Festival will take place in Austin. Recognized as the longest-running festival of its type in the nation, the event is presented by the Pecan Street Association.

Taking place in Austin’s Sixth Street Historic District in the downtown area, the festival is a free art event spread over two activity-filled days. Hundreds of attendees are expected to join the fun. The festival is juried and attracts local, regional and national artisans. Crafts are made from metal, wood, leather, stone, and glass as well as other sustainable materials.

Vendors often call upon local printing services to assist in creating Promotional Products that can be given away to people stopping by to visit. Attendees have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of food treats, with approximately 30 vendors offering funnel cakes, crepes, smoothies, and regional cuisine. Music is an integral part of the festival, with close to 50 top local acts and bands appearing on Red River, Trinity and Neches stages.

Children can have fun at the petting zoo, enjoy face-painting, participate in interactive programs, and laugh at the street magicians.

The Pecan Street Festival will take place on September 21 and 22. Organizers have utilized poster printing services to create commemorative Posters on sale via the event website or at the festival. For more information, contact the Pecan Street Association.
