The Austin Symphony Orchestra once again invites locals to its 4th of July Concert & Fireworks. This year, however, the event will be held at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) as the Auditorium Shores is in the midst of renovations.
Starting at 4:00 pm, families can enjoy typical trappings of an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration. Among the activities that COTA will host include interactive games and family-centric contests. The orchestra, the performance from which will include a variety of patriotic classics with a few auto-themed selections as a nod to racing fans, will start its set at 8:30 pm. Fireworks begin an hour later.
Those planning to attend will probably want to arrive early, this is one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in Texas and thousands of families will be vying for a prime viewing location. Parking lots open at 3:00 pm.
Both the event and general parking are free, with up-close parking available for $10. Attendees need only bring their picnic basket and blanket to enjoy one of the most popular outdoor events on Austin’s calendar.
Savvy businesses will no doubt seize this opportunity to increase their name recognition and garner goodwill by passing out free promotional items that contain their contact information or coupons.
