The Annual Water Lantern Festival, coming next month, brings peace, fun, happiness, and memorable times to the residents and visitors of Austin.
A family-friendly event, the festival is presented by One World LLC. It kicks off with music and food trucks throughout the area. Each participant will have an opportunity to design their lanterns from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The lantern launch takes place at 10:00 pm.
Volunteer staff will maintain best sustainability practices at the conclusion of the event by picking up the eco-friendly lanterns. The lanterns are made from wood and paper, and the LED candles will be recycled.
Local businesses are partnering with event organizers by becoming sponsors and providing volunteers. Oftentimes, event planners use the services of local Print shops to prepare needed materials such as banner printing. Banners depict specific areas such as parking, entry, vendors, concessions, and other activities.
Sponsors may apply online to advertise or participate in the Water Lantern Festival for the purpose of visibility and exposure, as well as supporting the large public event. Various levels of sponsorships are available, and food truck applications are also available via the event website.
The Annual Water Lantern Lighting will take place on the evening of Saturday, March 7 at the Austin Mueller Lake Park. Tickets are available starting at $35.99. More information is available online.
