Hyperloop One, which develops high speed tube transportation, has recently announced 11 potential routes in the United States. Austin is one of the cities that could benefit from the project.
A loop, known as the Texas Triangle Route, could connect 5 Texas cities with this innovative mode of transportation for both freight and passengers. The potential route would connect DFW, Austin, Houston, San Antonia, and Laredo. Should the project come to reality, transportation from Austin to Dallas could take as little as 20 minutes to complete. The full route would encompass 64 miles.
Hyperloop One worked with a variety of organizations and individuals to come up with potential routes. These organizations included universities, businesses, and government entities. If the routes are developed, Hyperloop One could work with local Print companies and Government agencies to provide information through Direct Mail printing notifying the state’s residents of the opportunity for high-speed travel.
Among other routes that were proposed are Boston/Somerset/Providence, Cheyenne/Houston, Chicago/Columbus/Pittsburgh, Colorado Front Range/Mtn. Network and Seattle/Portland. They also announced potential routes connecting cities in California (Los Angeles/San Diego), Florida (Miami/Orlando), Nevada (Reno/Las Vegas) and Missouri Kansas City/St. Louis). Should all become a reality, it could link 35 states.
