This summer, the Barefoot Ball is set to take place in Austin for an evening of dance and cocktails.

Event proceeds will benefit First Street Studio, which serves as a workspace for community artists who specialize in disciplines including dance, film, music, and theater. The studio also hosts dance classes throughout the week for dancers to learn advanced techniques.
As its name signifies, guests are encouraged to arrive at the ball in their bare feet and to choose attire suitable for a cocktail party. The absence of footwear is to ensure that the Marley flooring remains free of scratches.
