The Hot Luck Live Food and Music Festival is coming to Austin in the spring, where the deep roots of food and the world of music come together for four days.
Presented by the Hot Luck Fest organization, the event is designed to celebrate tailgating, potlucks, and friends and families getting together. It is a chef-driven festival full of diverse and ethnic food tastings, lively music, and some surprises along the way.
A highlight of the festival is the “eat-with-your-fingers” picnic. The a la carte event brings open pit BBQ, culinary prowess, and boot-tapping music. Participating chefs include Alon Shaya, Aaron Franklin, Andrew Wisehart, Andy Ricker, and Ashley Christensen.
Often, organizers use the services of local Print shops in preparation for the event. Banner printing creates signage to communicate activities, locations, parking, concessions, and other important information for attendees.
Performers include DJ Jazzy Jeff, Dinosaur Jr., and Hayes Carll. More bands and artists will be announced in the near future.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to The SAFE Alliance, a SafePlace, and Austin Children’s Shelter partnership. Both entities provide services and support to survivors in the community from assault and abuse.
The Hot Luck Live Food and Music Festival will take place May 21 to 24. Various ticket packages are on sale via the event website.
