The Texas Craft Brewers Festival is being held in a week’s time in Austin’s Fiesta Gardens, and will include 57 Texas-based craft breweries.
Only breweries from the state were invited to participate in this festival, which will be held in the city’s Fiesta Gardens on the shoreline of Lady Bird Lake. Each brewery will bring two beers of its choice to sample.
Additionally, a rotating tap will provide rare brews from 16 of the breweries. Every 30 minutes, a new beer will be dispensed throughout the festival. Food will be available for purchase, as well as soft drinks so that designated drivers can still quench their thirsts.
General admission tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the event. Designated driver tickets are $10. Due to Texas law, sampling is not unlimited at festivals and each ticket provides a limit of six four-ounce sampling tokens. However, patrons may purchase more samples separately at the event.
While parking is available at no cost around Lady Bird Lake and Fiesta Gardens, it is fairly limited. As many as 6,000 people may attend the event, so attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or share a vehicle. Remote parking is another option, but the organizers strongly discourage parking on the street in the surrounding neighborhoods.
The Texas Craft Brewers Festival is being held September 27 at 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. Please note that no minors or pets will be allowed.
