Austin welcomes new music and craft beer festival

Although Austin-based fans of beer and music might have been disappointed when a music and beer festival previously scheduled for next month was cancelled at the start of the summer, they now have something to look forward to.

The Scallywag! Craft Beer and Music festival will take place on September 23, a day after the previously cancelled festival. Scallywag! will be held at the same venue -- the Austin360 Amphitheater.

Highlights of the festival will include performances from several ska and punk rock bands, as well as more than 100 different varieties of beer, from national and local breweries.

Festival organizers can use brochure printing to let interested people know the details of the event, what to expect, and when tickets will be available.

Bands such as Pennywise, Bad Religion, Rancid, and the Interrupters are currently booked to play at the festival. Free beer tastings will be available from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, or starting at noon for people who purchase VIP tickets. After 4:00 pm, beer will still be available, but for an additional cost.

The Scallywag! Festival hails from San Diego and is now in its third iteration. Along with Austin, it will debut in four new cities this year.

Tickets to the festival went on sale on August 3. Prices start at $29.50 for general admission or $99.50 for VIP passes.
