Austin to screen classic on its 50th year

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory will be aired in Austin at the Paramount Theatre, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the movie.

The film debuted in 1971 starring Gene Wilder, Peter Ostrum, and Jack Albertson. It was directed by Mel Stuart. It was based on the similarly named Roald Dahl book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.

Often, Brochures are created to provide information about upcoming events in a city. The brochure printing, usually handled by a local Print company, can include bright images, compelling content, venue location, and contact information.

The show is abiding by health and safety mandates and guidelines, which includes a 50% capacity. Tickets may be purchased in pairs of two to maintain proper social distancing. For those needing an odd number of tickets, the box office must be contacted at 512-474-1221.

The venue is an original building and business in Austin providing authentic theater architecture and a timeless ambiance. Historically, the Paramount has hosted over 200,000 people each year and over 50 performances, as well as screening more than 100 films. The Moontower Comedy Festival launched in 2012 at the venue and is now one of the largest comedy festivals of its type in the country.

The Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory film will be aired this Saturday, June 5, starting at 1:00 p.m. Attendees will be admitted in staggered groups, so it is recommended that ticket holders allow ample time for admittance. More information and ticket availability can be found via the venue website.
