The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, known as Concacaf has chosen Austin’s Q2 stadium as one of the 2015 hosts of Concacaf Gold Cup matches. The Q2 stadium was built in 2021, specifically for soccer and the venue has a capacity of 20,500.
As part of the round-robin competition, three group stage matches will be held at Q2. The games will include Saudi Arabia versus the USA, while Panama will play both Guatemala and Jamaica. Teams that advance in Gold Cup play move on to the single elimination knockout rounds. Matches will take place at 14 stadiums across the US and Canada with 16 teams in four groups vying for eight spots in the next round.
The Gold Cup is held every two years and, as one of FIFA’s six confederations, is the flagship continental tournament for men's senior teams. This is the second time Austin has hosted a tournament game, with the first a single match in 2021.
Businesses who sponsor major sporting events such as this often use area Print shops for Logo Design to promote products and services to the many soccer fans.
Tickets to all matches are now available online. The first Austin game features the USA against Saudi Arabia on June 19, 2025 at 6:15 pm. Other matches at Q2 are June 20 and 24, 2025.
