Austin gives a new take on cult movie

Long Center’s Dell Hall will host the Sarah and Ernest Butler Pops series, which will present the classic sci-fi film “Back to the Future” and will include a film with an orchestra.

The movie that topped the box office charts in 1985. Two sequels followed and were similarly successful, stamping their mark on pop culture permanently. Michael J. Fox starred in the move along with Christopher Lloyd as they travel into the future in an iconic DeLorean.

This event will give old and new fans the opportunity to enjoy the thrill as they watch it on a hi-def screen. With Peter Bay as the conductor, Austin Symphony Orchestra will perform Alan Silvestri’s composition in sync to the movie. A surprise treat for the audience will include twenty extra minutes of new music added by Silvestri, an award-winner composer, to the score of the film.

Brochure printing is often ordered for performances of this type. The brochure can serve as a program listing the performance information, along with images and upcoming shows. Local Print shops can assist with the creation of the Brochures.

The performance will take place on Saturday, October 23 starting at 8:00 pm. Ticket pricing ranges from $19 to $100 depending on seating location. The Long Center’s Dell Hall is located at 701 Riverside Drive.
