More than 200 artisans and 30 bands will be out in force next month at the annual Armadillo Christmas Bazaar in Austin.
The winter arts festival has been showcasing a unique creative blend of live music and art for almost 50 years. It began in 1975, born out of the former Armadillo World Headquarters, a well-known eclectic 1970s venue for artists. It has since evolved to become an Austin cultural tradition.
Visitors can enjoy three live performances on the Armadillo stage each day while exploring and shopping the market for handmade gifts, original art, jewelry, crafts, ornaments, and other holiday treasures. A range of music genres will be covered by the line-up of Austin area artists and bands.
Food and refreshments will be available, including a full bar and non-alcoholic beverages. At the busiest times, a mobile bartender will be on hand to provide drinks shoppers can sip on while browsing the market stalls.
There will even be an on-site store featuring T-Shirts, Posters, ornaments, art, and other Armadillo bazaar products. Producers of events that offer related merchandise such as this often use local Print shops to create a professional Logo Design to help with promotion.
The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar runs for 10 days, from December 14 to 23, from 11:00 am to 9:30 pm daily, at the Palmer Events Center at 900 Barton Springs Road. One-day tickets or 10-day passes are available on the bazaar website.
