Theatrical way to raise funds in Franklin

Everyone is invited to a fundraising event for a local theater company.

The Show The Love event is a benefit on behalf of the Act Too Players Foundation (ATPF). The organization, which was established in 2022, provides scholarships to deserving, needy, and disabled students.

ATPF works hard to create an empathic, empowering, and inclusive atmosphere for teenagers and younger children, as well as providing positive experiences in the theater. ATPF believes that since theater demands that actors have a good understanding of their own physicality, working in various productions will help them develop a good sense of self. Studying acting helps students gain coordination and confidence, and education in the theater arts encourages imagination, communication, concentration, and self-expression.

This is the first year for the fundraiser, which will be held at the Franklin Theatre. The event will be emceed by Kelly Sutton of the Grand Ole Opry and WSM Radio, and will feature performances by alumni, students, staff, and faculty from Act Too Players.

The sponsors of the event hope to raise money for ATPF scholarships, which benefit those in foster care, or otherwise in need. They are also focusing fundraising efforts on classes at ATPF, which help support those on the spectrum.

The first-ever fundraiser for Act Too Players Foundation is on February 17. In addition to individual tickets, corporate tables are available. Hosts of events like this will often promote them by using poster printing to create advertising.
