Franklin hosts conference on building safety

Franklin’s active business development is on full display, and construction safety is of paramount importance during the building process. Hundreds of industry professionals will convene in town this spring to learn how to mitigate such risk.

The Tennessee Damage Prevention Summit 2026 will be held the last week in March. The event is expected to draw engineers, municipal leaders, construction professionals, and utility experts in a multi-day educational and planning conference. Many topics surrounding underground utility safety will be discussed, including workshops, breakout sessions, an open exhibition hall, a golf outing, and a luncheon awards session. Industry representatives will include excavators, utility personnel, municipal and county officials, and representatives from Tennessee 811. Business Cards and similar graphic design products help build business relationships.

The conference is organized by ACTS Now, Inc., incorporated in 2007 by Roger Cox. With over 40 years of experience as an excavator, Cox built an organization focused on reducing construction damage and improving public safety. An online statement from ACTS summarizes the group’s work:

“ACTS is the premier POSITIVE resource for effective damage prevention and public safety.”

The Tennessee Damage Prevention Summit 2026 will be March 25 to 27 at Embassy Suites, 820 Crescent Centre Drive in Franklin. Registration is required and available on the official website, with some group rates available. Various levels of sponsorship are also listed. Workshops incur an additional cost.
