Post Office changes Franklin service

The U.S. Postal Service just announced that customers in Franklin, Clarksville, and Murfreesboro, all in the Tennessee District, may see a new carrier, or discover their delivery times have changed. The “tweaks” are due to the fact the post office has added a number of new routes throughout the area.

The Post Office routinely reviews routes, as housing developments are built and new businesses are established. These reviews enable the Postal Service to meet its obligations and, at the same time, maintain efficient operations so that prices for postage and other services are kept at the lowest amount possible. The Post Office warns that some customers will be receiving mail at a time different from that to which they've become accustomed.

In addition, the Post Office has a new service available for those who would like to know what sort of mail they're receiving. A feature called Informed Delivery sends an image of incoming letters to the customer before the mail is physically delivered. The feature is free, and allows customers to manage their mail from tablets, computers, and other mobile devices. At present, over 225,000 people use the Informed Delivery service in Tennessee. Registration information is available on the Post Office website.

Officials at agencies dealing with matters like this can use flyer printing to make sure customers are informed of any changes to their service.
