The Bluegrass Along the Harpeth festival is scheduled for next month, and Franklin residents are excited to welcome the event back to the area.
The festival is a fiddlers’ jamboree for which proceeds go to the Williamson County Cultural Arts Commission.
Set in the historic backdrop of Town Square, the festival was designed to honor Grand Ole Opry stars Sam and Kirk McGee. Old-time musicians along with dancers organize and participate in the festival each year. Signature sponsors include Walker Franklin, Chevy Central, and F&M Bank.
On the Friday, bluegrass bands will perform to end the work week in a relaxing manner. For the Saturday, top musicians will compete in contests involving individual instruments and bands. Craft and food vendors will be on site to add to the festivities.
Vendors often work with local printing services to prepare for participation in community events. Business Cards play an important role in marketing and brand awareness. Business card printing can be ordered for any quantity needed, and in any style desired.
The 2021 edition of this long-running festival will take place over July 23 and 24 in Town Square, maintaining the tradition of it being held on the fourth weekend in July in each year since 1991. It is located on Third Avenue, and further details are available on the festival’s website.
