The biggest festival of the fall season is coming to Franklin.
For the 37th year, the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County is presenting Pumpkinfest, which will feature pumpkin carving, circus performers, a kids’ zone, live entertainment, costume contests for both pets and their people, and vendors of all kinds. In 2021, the event drew over 70,000 people.
Over 150 vendors of arts and crafts are expected to participate, as are more than 30 beverage and food sellers. The vendors are talented local artisans who will give festivalgoers a chance to get a start on their holiday shopping with unique items, particularly seasonal and specialty gifts.
Live entertainment will be presented on the Main Stage, and Lipscomb University is planning to take over the Acoustic Stage.
A Whiskey Lounge will give adults a chance to sample adult beverages, and an entire Main Street block will be set up as Autumn Alley featuring activities designed around the changing seasons. The KidsZone will have age-appropriate arts, crats, games, and activities.
In addition, the merchants located in Franklin’s downtown are planning to offer specials, and will have extended hours to make it easy for shoppers to visit them during the festival.
Pumpkinfest is scheduled for October 29, and takes over much of downtown Franklin, sprawling along Main Street and its side streets. There is so much going on at events like this, organizers can use flyer printing to create maps and schedules for attendees.
