Delta Power Equipment, a manufacturer and distributor of a variety of stationary woodworking tools, recently announced that it will be moving its U.S. headquarters and distribution center to Spartanburg.
Moving from Anderson, where it rented its space, the company has purchased a larger, 133,240-square foot space in the Wingo Corporate Park complex. According to Brian Marshall, the Business Development Director for the company, the 38 employees there are being asked to move to Spartanburg. About a dozen more employees will be hired for the new facility.
The company will most likely require the services of Stationery printers and perhaps logo designers as part of the move to the new headquarters.
Kevin Chang, President of Delta, commented that owning its headquarters in the United States will show the commitment of the company to the marketplace of woodworking machinery. The company will be able to put down its roots in Spartanburg and this, he added, will help it attract the best talent and grow.
Marshall added that being able to purchase a building was the main reason for the move as it shows its dedication to its business. Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowe’s are its primary customers, and Marshall believes Spartanburg is a good location for the continued growth of the company.
Delta was started in 2012 when Chang purchased the Black and Decker brand in Anderson.
