BMW Group Plant Spartanburg was established over 30 years ago. Over 7.3 million BMW vehicles have been assembled in South Carolina since 1994 for customers globally and in the USA. About half of the current production of the plant is exported to 120 countries, helping to make BMW the leading exporter of vehicles by value in the United States.
The opening of this new facility signals the world premieres of the new BMW X5. The first fully electric BMW iX5 will begin assembly in the United States later this year.
