Several festive activities are taking place in Spartanburg this holiday season, though some are drawing to a close this week.
Banner printing is often used to advertise and promote such events to those in the community and surrounding areas.
Several city grounds and the Spartanburg Philharmonic have come together to bring a holiday concert to residents. Featured at the “Burg Bound: Stay-At-Home Holiday Concert” will be several orchestral pieces like “Twelve Days of Christmas” and “Greensleeves”, as well as a rendition of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” performed by the Spartanburg Little Theatre; performances by banjoist Kristin Scott Benson and soloist Simone Mack-Orr; and a scene from “The Nutcracker” by the dancers of Ballet Spartanburg.
This concert is pre-recorded and will be available for viewing at any time between now and December 31. A virtual pass can be purchased for $30 from the Philharmonic website.
Also, the Artists Collective Spartanburg is currently holding its annual holiday market. The market will feature works by the artists at the co-op and will focus on items for gift giving. Chair of the Collective, Beth Regula, expressed her pleasure in being able to offer this event to community by holding it over a two-month period rather than just on a single day.
The Collective will be opened from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays through December 26.
