The ground has been broken on a new distribution and manufacturing facility of Milo’s Tea Company in Spartanburg County.
The facility will be in Moore at the corner of US 221 and US 290. This close proximity to Spartanburg will mean many new jobs for residents of the city. Postings of such new jobs when they become available can be made known throughout an area with flyer printing.
The company will be investing $130m in the facility, which will span 110,000 square feet. This will be the fourth such production facility for the company, with other locations in Oklahoma and Alabama.
Governor Henry McMaster expressed his pride in welcoming Milo’s to the family of South Carolina. He said that the people of Spartanburg County will now have the opportunity to apply for 100 new jobs. He added that he is sure Milo’s will be impressed by the dedicated and talented workforce in the area.
Milo’s Tea Company was founded by Milo Carlton, whose granddaughter, Tricia Wallwork, is now CEO and Chair of the company. She said the company has been diligently working to fulfill the increasing demand of its customers. She added that South Carolina is an ideal location for the company to enter its next phase of growth, noting that the company is looking forward to working in the county and investing in the community.
