Downtown Spartanburg will soon be home to a Mexican restaurant chain that is popular in the Upstate.
Bronco Mexican Restaurant is moving into a space that was once occupied by Big Glenn’s Grill at the intersection of Pine and Main Streets. The restaurant already has three locations in Cherokee and Spartanburg Counties.
The owners—Angel Reyes, Claudio Garcia, Julio Mendez, and Ramon Alvarez—said that this restaurant will be different from their other locations. It will serve many of the same items on the menu, but it will also have a test kitchen for trying out new ideas and offerings. The owners are also thinking of serving brunch on weekends and holding viewing parties during soccer matches. Those who are frequent customers of the chain will find the same friendly atmosphere and service.
As the Bronco location on Union Street, opened since 2001, is often very busy with customers having to wait for a table, the owners are hoping that those who live in the downtown area will come to this new restaurant to help ease some of the congestion at Union Street. Promotional Products can be distributed at such locations to publicize a restaurant’s opening in a new part of town and what differentiates it from other its other spots.
The owners of the restaurant are hoping for an April opening.
