The emerging craft beer scene in South Carolina will be the focus of a celebration planned for Spartanburg.
The Hub City Brew Fest will bring together at least 25 different brewers of craft style beers and ciders from both South and North Carolina in an event that its organizers hope will draw attention to this emerging part of the food and beverage industry. It is also receiving support from the city of Spartanburg.

Along with giving those who attend a chance to sample local beers, the festival will also serve as a fundraiser for the Coalition for Active Youth Fund. Monies raised will be put towards developing a multifunction bike park in the city’s downtown.
The event will take place, rain or shine, on October 15 in downtown Spartanburg. It will begin at 1:00 pm, and run until 5:00 pm. Tickets are $45 each, and they can be purchased through the Eventbrite listing that has been set up for the festival.
