A multi-year agreement has been reached between the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (SRHS) and Cigna Corporation. Its aim is to ensure that customers of Cigna will have access to the facilities, hospitals, and network of physicians of Spartanburg Regional.
Senior vice president of Spartanburg Regional, Paul Butler, said that he appreciates the relationship the healthcare system has with Cigna and added that he is looking forward to working with them to bring value to the community of the Upstate. Cigna market president for the Carolinas, Charles Pitts, said that this collaboration will provide high-quality and affordable healthcare for its customers and puts their interests first.
There are six hospital campuses that make up SRHS. These include Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care, Spartanburg Medical Center, Union Medical Center, and Cherokee Medical Center. Woodruff Manor and the Ellen Sagar Nursing Home are also part of SRHS. SRHS offers a full range of healthcare services as well as care for cancer through the Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute.
