An investment of $5 million by AIRSYS Cooling Technologies in Greer at the Smith Farms Industrial Park will create 116 jobs for those in Spartanburg County. This will become the new corporate headquarters for the company.
A new manufacturing plant will also be built. Wall pack air conditioning units for schools, data centers, and the telecom industry will be manufactured at the plant.
Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt congratulated the company for deciding to establish its operations in the Spartanburg area. The new operation is very much welcomed by the state and everyone will be looking forward to watching its development over the years.
New printed materials are often needed for such moves and expansions, which may include an update to Letterheads or Business Cards.
David Britt, chair of the county’s economic development committee and Spartanburg County Councilman, added that companies such as AIRSYS are finding the many benefits of Spartanburg with is workforce and strong logistics infrastructure which will enable it to have greater access to the North American market.
Marcus Hamaker, Executive Vice President of AIRSYS, concurred, saying that this location was the best fit for the manufacturing plant and the new corporate headquarters. Spartanburg Community College’s Spark Center business incubator was instrumental in enabling the company to make the transition to its new home.
AIRSYS plans to open the new facilities next month.
