Taylor Woolard will become the new head coach for the women’s lacrosse team at Converse College in Spartanburg. She was most recently the assistant coach at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
Jenn Bell, director of athletics at the college, said that Woolard is extremely knowledgeable and has a great deal of passion for the sport. She added that Woolard looks to develop the student athlete as a whole and help athletes reach their true potential. The college is looking forward to her joining the college and building a strong women’s lacrosse team. Such announcements are often made known to a college community with flyer printing.
Woolard expressed her excitement and honor to be able to lead the program for women’s lacrosse at Converse. She added that the college has tremendous vision and leadership with a bright and hopeful future. Woolard also thanked the search committee and Bell for believing in her ability to lead the program. She expressed her gratitude for this opportunity and is also looking forward to working with the team.
Woolard’s previous experience includes conducting game film analysis, creating scouting reports for the team, developing practice plans, and coordinating prospective student-athlete days for the women’s lacrosse team at Earlham. She also represented the department on institutional marketing committees and monitored the academic progress of the student-athletes.
