The state-of-the-art, single-serve coffee manufacturing and roasting operations of Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) in Spartanburg County will be experiencing growth.
This expansion will create 84 jobs and will cost the company $141 million. Such new jobs can be advertised and promoted throughout a region with flyer printing and other printing services.
The existing facility of the company which broke ground on 2019 produces K-Cup pods. It currently employs 285 people, and more are expected to be hired. The new facility will be in Moore on Moore Duncan Highway and will produce K-Rounds, which are the company’s coffee pods that are not made of plastic and are created from coffee beans that are ground, pressed, and wrapped in a protective coating that is plant-based.
Roger Johnson, Chief Supply Chain Officer for KDP, said that this new investment in Spartanburg will be important for the company’s innovation in manufacturing and production. He expressed his gratitude to the support that the company has received from the county of Spartanburg and the state of South Carolina as the company continues its growth in the region.
The beverage portfolio of KDP includes 125 well-known brands that include non-carbonated and carbonated beverages such as Canada Dry, Snapple, Dr. Pepper, and Mott’s as well as the brewing system of Keurig that features such brands as The Original Donut Shop and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.
